Housing support

The Housing Support Service is a free, short term visiting service for Hammersmith & Fulham residents aged over 16 years or over who are having difficulties managing their home and staying independent in the community.

The service can help you improve your skills and confidence to take control of your life and make your own decisions.

Depending upon your needs, the support can include:

  • Managing your money and your budget
  • Sorting out your bills, benefits and shopping
  • Settling you into a new home
  • Signposting you to other services
  • With repairs and sorting out rent and other tenancy issues
  • Arranging and attending appointments and meetings
  • Filling in forms and writing letters
  • Developing life skills such as cooking and cleaning
  • Keeping you in contact with friends and family
  • Engaging you with leisure, skills and employment opportunities

The Housing Floating Support service is available to residents living in any type of accommodation in the borough, including home owners.

You can find more information on how the Housing Support Service can help you by visiting its information page. To make a referral for yourself or someone you know, please contact the service on 020 8753 1437.

Councillor surgeries

Come along to one of our Councillor surgeries to meet your local representatives and raise any issues or concerns.

The surgeries are informal, open sessions that take place on the 2nd Saturday of each month between 11.00 am – 12.00 pm at the Old Oak Centre.

The borough of Hammersmith & Fulham is divided into 16 wards. Each one is represented by up to three Councillors, bringing the total number of borough Councillors to 46. An election is held every four years.

Cuppa with a Copper

Our Cuppa with a Copper events are informal drop-in sessions, where residents can meet their local Safer Neighbourhoods Police Officer, find out about crime in the area, obtain crime prevention advice and ask questions. It’s a great opportunity for residents to tell officers about any issues or concerns they have.

The next Cuppa with a Copper dates can be found on our News page. They are held about once a fortnight, in the daytime or evening, as we realise that our residents are available at different times of day.
